Course Description

Nonparametric Statistics (EDRM 712) is a course in the application of nonparametric statistical methods to research problems in education. Graduate standing is required for enrollment. The prerequisite is a one-year introductory course in statistics. The course is offered and governed by the Program of Educational Psychology, Research, and Foundations in the Department of Educational Studies at the University of South Carolina. Instructor Information

This course is taught by Michael A. Seaman, Associate Professor of Educational Research. Professor Seaman has been on the faculty at the University of South Carolina since 1990. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in quantitative methods in educational psychology with cognates in mathematical statistics and cognitive psychology. His research interests include statistical education, effect size analysis, and nonparametric statistics.
