To apply to the M.Ed. degree program in Higher Education & Student Affairs, or the Ph.D. in Educational Administration/Higher Education:
1. Complete the on-line Graduate School application.
2.Submit 2 letters of recommendation. The Graduate School requires that all letters of recommendation be submitted through their Letters of Recommendation Portal. You will be required to include the email addresses of the people you have asked to write letters of recommendation in support of your application.
3. Submit a current resume which highlights your educational history, employment history, higher education and student affairs experience, current address, telephone number, and e-mail address (if available) to the Graduate School.
4. Submit a 2-3 page (typed and double spaced) personal statement to the Graduate
School. This statement is part of your on-line Graduate School application and should
address the following three areas:
a. What experiences have led to your interest in pursuing a career in higher education
and student affairs?
b. What qualities, characteristics, and skills do you possess that make you a strong
candidate for the Higher Education and Student Affairs Program?
c. What do you hope to learn from the Higher Education and Student Affairs Program,
and how does this relate to your personal and career goals?
5. Submit official transcripts reflecting undergraduate degree and any graduate work to the Graduate School.
6. Submit scores on either the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) to the Graduate School. Foreign students must submit scores on the TOEFL exam.
