Adding on certification in areas other than your initial area is governed entirely by the SC Department of Education. USC is accredited for and recommends certification only at the initial level (other than in the areas of Counselor Education, Education Administration, Library Media, and Speech Pathology). Once you earn your initial certification, you can apply to add on different levels and/or subjects. USC has no program that allows for certifying simultaneously in two different areas.
