Orientation Days
After being admitted to USC-Columbia, entering freshmen and students who are transferring from an institution outside the USC system should sign up for an orientation time in Summer 2009. Visit the office of orientation at http://orientation.sc.edu for more information.
Advisement
Fall 2009 advisement begins on March 2, 2009 and ends on April 3, 2009.
Students cannot register for classes until they have been advised. Advisement occurs in small groups. Sign-up sheets will be available in the Student Affairs office (Wardlaw, Room 113) early in the Spring semester. You will be notified through your USC email with specifics regarding advisement.
Change of Major Workshops
Change of major workshops are held for current USC students who are interested in changing their major to Early Childhood education, Elementary education, Middle Level education, Physical Education-Teacher Certification, or Physical Education-Athletic Training. All workshops are held in the conference room in Wardlaw, room 113. You must sign up in advance for a workshop. Call 777-3570 to reserve a seat for one of the workshops. Workshops are scheduled on:

Important Deadlines
January 12: Spring classes begin

January 16: Last day to add/drop a course without a grade of W being recorded (Session C002)

February 2: Last day to apply for May graduation
February 23: Last day to drop a course or withdraw without a grade of WF being recorded (Session C002)
