Assistant Professor in Athletic Training

Qualifications: Candidates should have: 1) Earned doctorate, 2) evidence of previous teaching experience, 3) previous clinical practice experience, 4) evidence of a focused scholarly agenda, 5) potential to develop extramural funding, 6) BOC certification and eligible for state certification, and 7) ability to develop positive working relationships with the medical community.

Responsibilities: The Department of Physical Education at the University of South Carolina is seeking applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor within the athletic training area. Job responsibilities include the following: 1) teach courses within a CAATE-accredited undergraduate program and a graduate program in physical education with a newly developed athletic training emphasis, 2) supervise graduate assistants, 3) establish a program of scholarly activity, 4) seek extramural funding, 5) direct graduate student thesis/projects, and 6) serve on departmental, college and university committees as assigned.
