Dr. Carney is a black belt in karate trained by Dr. Larry Southerland and Souke Reidner. He is a self defense instructor for Richland County Police Department and SLED. He has made conference presentations with 15 different community organizations over the last few years and has offered self defense clinics at nearly 50 different churches in the midlands area.
