Additional technologies are available in the Training Center by appointment during regular office hours. The Catfish Room contains the vision station with a Braille embosser and other specialized software. A videotape duplication station and a special projects computer station can also be found in the Catfish Room. The Hallway Stations contain older computers with examples of instructional software and assistive technology devices installed. To reserve any of these stations, contact Instructional Support at 803-777-4475 or visit the Welcome Desk in Room 274 Wardlaw.

Vision Station
The vision station is designed for use by faculty, staff, or students from across campus who need to print to Braille or to use the same vision software that is available in the Center for Adaptive Technology [http://www.sc.edu/library/catlab.html] at the Thomas Cooper Library. This station requires a login sequence, so please ask for assistance from an employee of Instructional Support to use this station.

Videotape Duplication Station
This is an old set up that allows faculty, staff and students from the College of Education to duplicate a VHS tape to VHS tape. If you need to copy a digital video tape to VHS, you need to provide your own camera and cables. Instructions are located at this station to help you set up your camera. You must return the station to its VHS-VHS set up when you leave.

Special Projects Station
The purpose of this computer is to allow faculty, staff or students in the College of Education to use a computer to work on special projects outside class time. This station has multimedia development software programs on it, such as those found in the Monkey Room, and it has statistics and math programs on it, such as those found in the Donkey Room. If a group of students want to work on a class project together, they should reserve the appropriate technology classroom for a group work session. The contact person for the group can use the online Instructional Support Request Form to make this request.

Hallway Stations in Room 274
The Hallway Stations in Room 274 contain ten older computer stations with examples of instructional software and assistive technology devices installed. These stations are used by classes and other visitors to the Training Center to explore the use of alternative input devices and other assistive technology with various software programs. A list of the specific equipment and software is available at each station. To schedule a demonstration of the technologies found at these stations, please call Instructional Support at 803-777-4475 and ask to speak to the Director, Susan Quinn.

A fee may apply if the Instructional Support classroom or equipment is not used for a College of Education class or related instructional activity.
