Course Delivery Tools
- Blackboard -
The Blackboard instructional system allows USC faculty to easily create a course web site for class communications, posting assignments, posting readings, linking to complementary web sites, administering exams, and much more, all with little or no knowledge of web site design or HTML.
- Breeze Presenter - (now known as Adobe Presenter) is a plug-in that is available through TTS. It puts a button in your PowerPoint software in order to add audio (or your voice) over the presentation. The presentation stores to a Breeze server and is stored as a flash video (much smaller than most video formats). Breeze Presentation also creates a table of contents for PowerPoint slides so students can watch the presentation from beginning to end by just opening the presentation, or they can click on an individual slide to repeat/progress in the order they choose.
- Breeze Live -
(now known as Adobe Meeting) uses software that allows you to have a video conference with your image in the screen corner as you are talking. This is perfect for the distance-education instructor or to conduct statewide (or further) presentations! The actual presentation will appear in the main part of the screen and a chat room will appear at the bottom. Students, faculty or staff attending the class or presentation can chat while the conference is in progress and the presenter can answer questions by chatting back or class discussion (verbally). Breeze Live sessions can be archived and viewed at a later time for people who were not able to attend.
