  • Purchasing Software

    There are two places to purchase software at contract prices. Both sources have some titles available for the personal use of students and faculty/staff.

    • USC Software Distribution-Information can be obtained on their web site
      at: http://www.sc.edu/software/ or by calling 777-4657. Some titles are only available for Faculty/Staff business use and other titles are available for the personal use of faculty, staff and students.

    • Compusult, Inc.-This company offers special state pricing for educational institutions in South Carolina. Information can be obtained on their web site at:
      http://www.compusult.com Once on the site, choose one of the first three options to search prices. The options are: Students and Educators, Schools and Colleges, and Academic State Contract.

      • To purchase software for use on a University owned or leased computer, either of the second two options are available. The Schools and Colleges area offers more programs and the Academic State Contract area offers the quantity purchases.

      • To pay for purchases use either a University credit card or complete a Purchase Request through the University Purchasing Department at:
        http://purchasing.sc.edu/pur-req.pdf and submit it through your department. Compusult will send a software package and/or proof of purchase documentation.

      • Once the software arrives, complete a work order for installation at: http://www.ed.sc.edu/oit/workorder/OITWorkorder.asp

  • Purchasing a Computer

    Educational discounts are available to USC students, faculty and staff from several vendors. Please go to the UTS Computer Purchase web page at:
