Wardlaw 125A
Seating Capacity: table space for 14; chairs for 20

This conference room is adjacent to the Museum of Education's Exhibition Area. Instructional aids include a wall screen; there is no internet connection. Room 125A is the sole entry for Room 125C (Craig Kridel's office); there may be some inconspicuous entering and departing from 125C.

The room serves as a curriculum library for the Secondary and Middle Level Education programs so should not be used for regular class meetings. No food or drink allowed.

This conference/seminar room located on second floor of Wardlaw features 2 tables, chairs, monitor/VCR/DVD, overhead, screen, erasable board, two-way mirror and audio. It also serves as a resource library for the Language and Literacy program. Suitable for committee meetings of at most 20 people though only 12 will fit comfortably around the table. May be scheduled for classes or seminars with enrollments that do not exceed 15. Scheduling priority is given to Language and Literacy faculty. No food or drink allowed.

This classroom is located on the first floor of Wardlaw and features movable tables and chairs, erasable board, screen, overhead, monitor, VCR and curriculum resources for ITE faculty and students. Suitable for classes with enrollments that do not exceed 32. Priority is given to ITE Faculty for classes. No food or drink allowed.

The Discovery Room is designed as a computer training classroom for students or other participants to work on computers during class. The computers have basic productivity and web browsing programs installed. The presentation station and some student stations contain software programs, such as statistical and math software, that is used in specific classes each semester. The room is equipped with an LCD projector and screen, overhead projector, data-ready TV/VCR, Laserdisc/Audio CD player, and a whiteboard.

The Matrix Room was designed for the Educational Technology Program (EDET), a collaborative effort between USC Columbia and Aiken campuses. The two-way video conferencing and audio conferencing capability is unique to this room. In addition to basic productivity and web browsing programs, the computer stations have software for multimedia development installed. The room is equipped with video conferencing equipment, audio conferencing equipment, LCD projector and screen, document camera, TV/VCR/DVD, and a whiteboard.

The Odyssey Room resembles a traditional classroom with rows of student desks and several tables with power strips for laptops. The technology options available to the instructor are more than in most traditional classrooms, though. The presentation computer in this technology classroom is ideal for students' electronic presentations, demonstrations of online resources, and guest speakers who use technology. The room is equipped with LCD projector and screen, overhead projector, data-ready TV/VCR, Laserdisc/Audio CD player, and whiteboards.

Room 029 is used by College of Education and the College of Math and Science instructors for science education classes and related instruction. It contains science equipment and other materials. It does not have a presentation station. This room can be reserved for College of Education activities when science and math activities are not scheduled. The room is equipped with overhead projector, data-ready TV/VCR/DVD, chalkboard, and pull-down screen.

The SCANA Classroom, which is located in the basement of the Wardlaw Building, is designed to be used by College of Education and the College of Math and Science instructors for math and science education classes and related instructional activities. This room contains a presentation station and a variety of specialized equipment. The room can also be reserved for other instructional activities by faculty in the College of Education when science and math activities are not scheduled. The room is equipped with LCD projector and retractable screen, document camera, Smart Symposium interactive pen display for electronic notes, VCR and DVD-V player, whiteboard, and other specialized science and math equipment.

This room is used primarily for clinically oriented counseling courses. The room is arranged in seminar fashion. The room is equipped with a video camera, TV and VHS recorder, and blackboard. There is telephone communication between Room 271 and Room 268. Live video transmission can be viewed from 268 into 271.

Dean's Conference Room - Back of Wardlaw 273

Located at the back of the 2nd floor lounge, the Dean's Conference Room is available for brief meetings. Priority is for meetings scheduled by the dean's office. This room has a whiteboard and flip chart for use in presentations and a speakerphone for conference calling. However, the telephone does not have long-distance capability, so calls must originate from the department or office conducting conference call. This room is not reserved for classes and no food or drink is allowed.

This room is used for meetings and small classes. It includes a television/VCR system and chalkboard for presentations. There is no priority for scheduling this room, as it is on a first-come, first-served basis.
