homepage of the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs. Our offices are
here to serve the faculty, staff, and students of education programs throughout
the University of South Carolina.
USC is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The accreditation process provides a thorough evaluation of education programs and the caliber of an institution's graduates. Our last formal NCATE review (October 2003) was a stunning success. The results clearly attested to the high quality of our programs for teachers and other educators at USC. The accreditation process gave us an opportunity to clearly demonstrate the outstanding professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions of the candidates and graduates of USC's education programs. Despite our success, we continue to monitor and develop our programs. Our goal is to renew our programs on an on-going basis to truly ensure the development of our candidates as Collaborative, Educational Leaders.
