Examples for EDEX 750


Activities to develop with any word processor.
Activities that provide a scaffold for the learning process.


 

Objective: To redo the group of two sentences to create one sentence.

Som marsupials live in Australia.

Marsupials are kangaroos, koalas, wombats, bandicoots, and quokkas.
 



 

Objective: To add correct punctuation and capital letters.

the united states of america is located on the continent of north america there are 50 states in the u.s. forty-eight of the states form the contiguous united states. The u.s. borders on canada to the north and mexico and the gulf of mexico to the south. On the east coast, the u.s. is bordered by the atlantic ocean and on the west coast it is bordered by the pacific ocean.
 


Objective: To sequence sentences correctly to make a story.

The mouse wanted some crayons.
The mouse got a cookie.
The mouse said we should do a play.
The mouse got milk on his whiskers.
The mouse was hungry again.
The mouse took a nap.
 


Objective: To sequence the words correctly according to the digestive process. Use the move feature or cut and paste words to put them in the correct order.

Objective: To replace underlined words with a antonym.

The woman stood up stooped and relaxed, and told her story like a joke; and you should have seen how the two women leaned backward and looked at each other, in their surprise and interest. When they heard how my father went back to the inn, the doctor fairly slapped his arm, and the squire cried `Bravo!' and broke his long cane against the grate.



 
  Objective: To replace underlined words with a Proper noun.

The man flew to the planet in a rocket. On the way he saw big stars and another planet. They went through a galaxy. He saw the sun. He knew it was made up of gas.

 



  Objective: To sort the sentences into fact and opinion.

(create a table and have students move the sentences to the correct column in a table.)

Earth is a good place to live.
Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun.
Pluto is a planet.
Venus is a pretty planet.
Saturn has rings.
