Learning Disabled Resource students from Swansea Elementary, Frances Mack Elementary, and Monroe Pickney Middle Schools.
Class Size:
All reading and Language Arts resource students: 4th - 7th grade.
Class Environment:
Reading and Language Arts Resource.
Time Consideration:
2 weeks.

Prerequisite
Skills:
1. Prior experience using Internet.
2. Prior experience using Mac computers and modems.
3. Prior experience using the World Wide Web (WWW).
4. Prior experience using Clarisworks.
5. Prior experience using Netscape.
6. Prior experience printing papers.
Objectives:
1. TSWBAT use Internet, Netscape, or the WWW to research facts about the state of South Carolina.
2. TSWBAT wrote a paragraph/paper using facts gained from the computer search.
Procedure:
1. The teacher will explain to the students that they will research specific facts about the state of South Carolina.
2. The teacher will explain to the students that they will write either a paragraph or a paper based upon the facts that they find on the computer.
3. Students will be given a question guide to help them in their research.
