EDET 735 Project Rubric

Each participate will complete one major project that will incorporate all the sub-projects.

AECT Standards

AECT Standard 1: Application of Theory & Diverse Learners:
Design. Candidates demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to design conditions for learning by applying principles of instructional systems design, message design, instructional strategies, and learner characteristics.

General information on product category or topic provided. Related discussion of the topic for diverse learners. Citation of research and effectiveness based on learner characteristics. Includes information from article review.

Provides relationship of the specific product to the learner characteristics and specific group of diverse learners.Includes information from comparison product review.

Listing of at least 8 related links with annotations related to the topic to support topic and extend information. Includes information from web page review.

AECT Standard #2 Web development
Development. Candidates demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to develop instructional materials and experiences using print, audiovisual, computer-based, and integrated technologies.

CSS is incorporated into the project with defined style sheets and used for formatting independent from the content.

Screen capture video is linked, opens properly, includes demonstration of the product and explains relationship to total project.

Project considers design issues such as navigation, learner control, feedback, learning style, screen design. All links work properly and notify user of destination, whether they open in a new window or require a program for download.

AECT Standard #3 Application & use of skills
Utilization. Candidates demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to use resources for learning by applying principles and theories of media utilization, diffusion, implementation, and policy-making.

All images documented with source and credit in references. Includes alt tags, notification of links opening new page, link names make sense, links for external plug-ins, writing style to meet range of consumers, & use of appropriate colors.
