The South Carolina Educational Policy Center (SCEPC), now in its 23nd year of operation, reflects educational policy research to South Carolinians, interested educators, and educational policy makers throughout the southeast and the nation. Our dedicated faculty and staff researches policy issues related to prekindergarten through high school and postsecondary education and disseminates that information to educational decision makers at all levels.

Our recent educational policy projects have been related to school climate, K-3 reading, and gifted and talented education. On May 2, 2010, we presented our 2008-2009 school climate research at the 2010 American Educational Research Association's annual meeting.
