Information for specific audiences:

Secondary Education - Master of Teaching (M.T.)

To apply to the M.T. program in Secondary Education - English, Mathematics, Sciences, or Social Studies:

1. Bookmark or print and read all information in the M.T. Information Packet and ITE Master of Teaching (M.T.) Degree Secondary Education.

2. Complete the on-line Graduate School application. This application is submitted electronically to the Graduate School. As part of your application to the Graduate School, you will be required to include:

a. 2 letters of recommendation. The Graduate School requires that all letters of recommendation be submitted online through their Letters of Recommendation Portal. You will be required to include the email addresses of the people you have asked to write letters of recommendation in support of your application.

b. Test scores. The Graduate School and M.T. program require official test scores. Either the Miller Analogies Test or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are acceptable tests for this program. For evaluation purposes, however, you may enter unofficial scores as part of your Graduate School application.

c. International candidates. See the Graduate School application for more information.

3. Additional requirements. Complete and print the following documents. Then, submit them to the College of Education Office of Student Affairs, Wardlaw 113, Columbia, SC 29208:

a. M.T. Supplement and Professional Program Application for your specific area:

1. English - M.T. Supplement and Professional Program Application
2. Mathematics - M.T. Supplement and Professional Program Application
3. Science - M.T. Supplement and Professional Program Application
4. Social Studies - M.T. Supplement and Professional Program Application
