Physical Education - Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.)
To apply to the M.A.T. in Physical Education:
1. Bookmark or print and read all information in the M.A.T. General Advisement Guide and Student Guide.
2. Complete the on-line Graduate School application. This application is submitted electronically to the Graduate School. As part of your application to the Graduate School, you will be required to include:
a. 2 letters of recommendation. The Graduate School requires that all letters of recommendation be submitted online through their Letters of Recommendation Portal. You will be required to include the email addresses of the people you have asked to write letters of recommendation in support of your application.
b. Official transcripts. The Graduate School requires official transcripts. For evaluation purposes, they ask that you upload digital copies as part of your Graduate School application, if they are available to you. Mail your official transcripts directly to the Graduate School.
c. Test scores. The Graduate School and M.A.T. program require official test scores. Either the Miller Analogies Test or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are acceptable tests for this program. For evaluation purposes, however, you may enter unofficial scores as part of your Graduate School application.

3. Additional requirements. Check with the M.A.T. advisor for the area to which you are applying for additional requirements (i.e., portfolio, writing sample, etc.).
