Master of Arts in Teaching in Art Education (M.A.T.) (for initial
teacher certification)
Interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Art (I.M.A.) (not for initial
teacher certification)
B.F.A. in Art Education
Apply through the Office of
Undergraduate Admissions for the B.F.A
certification degree program in Art Education.

To apply to the M.A.T in Art Education, you must:
1. Print and read all information in the M.A.T. General Advisement Guide.
2. Complete the on-line
Graduate School application.
3. Submit 2
letters of recommendation to the Graduate School (USC
Graduate School, 901 Sumter St. #304, Columbia, SC 29208). Page
down to select Letter of Recommendation in PDF or Word format.
4. Submit scores on either the Graduate Record Examination or
the Miller Analogies Test to the Graduate School.
5. Submit official transcripts reflecting undergraduate degree
and any graduate work to the Graduate School.
6. Check with a representative from area to which you are applying
for any additional requirements.

not accept the Miller (contact your area regarding test requirements).
5. Submit official transcripts reflecting undergraduate degree
