Christine Viera, Assistant Principal at Gold Hill Middle School and student in the MEd in Ed Admin program, will be awarded the Financial Educator of the Year Award for South Carolina at the Southern Region meeting in Savannah, GA, the weekend of August 26, 2006.
Dr. Diane Harwell, Clinical Associate Professor, along with Dr. Myles Friedman and Dr. Katherine Schnepel, recently published a book entitled Effective Instruction: A Handbook of Evidence-Based Strategies. It is a 840-page resource book that describes 21 instructional strategies proven to improve student achievement significantly.
Dr. Zach Kelehear has recently published a book entitled "The Art of Leadership: A choreography of Human Understanding". It encourages school leaders and teachers to reflect on their own leadership practices and develop a technique for leading schools.
Faculty
Dr. Lynn Harrill and Dr. Diane Harwell will be presenting the Ed Admin blended instructional
delivery model at the 2006 SCASA Summer Leadership Institute in June and also at
the 60th Annual NCPEA Conference in Lexington, Kentucky on August 1-4.
Dr. Diane Harwell and Dr. Casey Schnepel presented a paper on effective instructional strategies at the 2006 SCEPUR Conference and also at the March USC Phi Delta Kappa meeting.
